Another week has flown by and it’s once again time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  And this week our sketch comes all the way from France via our favorite queen of die-cuts, Cecile Ribon.  Take a look at her fun sketch:

Well, this sketch had me stumped for a long while.  And then I thought — what would Cecile do?  Why, she would pull out some of her really cool dies!  But I didn’t really have any geometric dies that would work.  So I got a little creative and probably strayed WAY far away from the sketch.  But hopefully, you can kinda see what I was going for.  The flower is the top large triangle, the leaves are the bottom triangle and the yellow sprig is the little triangle.  Yeah, it’s a stretch! ha!

I love poinsettias at Christmas time, and these dies are so pretty with their embossed detail.  There was little stamping involved on this card — just the sentiment, which I also love.

I started by sponging on some Crushed Curry ink on to a piece of white card stock and then splattered some of the same ink over it.

The focal image was cut from Real Red, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry card stock.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch!  We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week.  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!
